Torrevieja, Spain is located in the province of Alicante, on the Costa Blanca. It's a laid-back Mediterranean beach town. Especially during off-season when we were there!
What did we do?
Playa del Cura is situated in a sheltered bay making it a popular spot.The promenade that runs alongside the beach is lined with bars and restaurants.
Salt Lakes of Torrevieja -- One of the unique features of Torrevieja is the nearby salt lakes, Las Salinas. The lakes are 'pink' and have interesting environmental significance. All aboard!

Torrevieja Marina -- We enjoy the maritime scene. A great place to admire yachts and boats.
Take a walk along the Dique de Levante Breakwater. This pier offers stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding area
If you haven't figured out yet, Sharon loves a market. So, of course, we visited Mercado Central "La Plasa ".
What did we eat?
Bar Ruta al Sur right around the corner. Food was good and service was great.

Sands Bistro was a neat little place with a great deal. For 22€ you received a starter, a main, a dessert and 1/2 bottle of wine. We had our desserts to go.

Where did we stay? AirBnB "Wonderful Apartment with Sea View Torrevieja" hosted by Khaled. It was nice enough with three bedrooms and two full baths. There was no view but it did have a nice lanai.
How did we get here? Drove 4 1/2 hours from Almuñécar. We had a gorgeous day for a drive. Along one section we lost all visibility from wind dust.

Torrevieja is a place where you can unwind, soak up the Spanish culture, and enjoy the tranquility of the Mediterranean coast.
