Bath is a beautiful city in the southwest of England that is famous for its Roman baths and Georgian architecture. The entire city is a UNESCO World Heritage site, a popular tourist destination and our favorite city we've visited in the UK so far.
What did we do?
The Mayor of Bath's Free Walking Tour -- This was fantastic! A free two+ hour tour around Bath. We learned so much!

Bath Abbey -- It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Bath. The abbey was founded in the 7th century and has been rebuilt several times over the centuries. The current building was constructed in the 15th and 16th centuries and is a beautiful example of Perpendicular Gothic architecture. Four-fifths of the walls are windows!

The Roman Baths: The ancient baths were built in the 1st century AD and are still used today for bathing and spa treatments. We did not tour the baths.
The Pump Room: This elegant Georgian building is located next to the Roman Baths and is where visitors can enjoy afternoon tea and traditional Bath Buns.
Go for a swim in the Thermae Bath Spa: This spa offers a variety of thermal pools, including one that is fed by the same spring water as the Roman Baths. We did not do this. The cost was £80 for two hours. That wasn't really what discouraged us. We waited too late to reserve and there was only one time slot available for ONE person.
The Assembly Rooms was a place for people to meet and enjoy daily entertainment including balls, concerts, teas and gambling. The building is currently closed and you can't truly see the beauty of the building due to the "art" out front.

The Royal Crescent: This iconic Georgian terrace is one of the most photographed buildings in Bath and home to some of the most expensive real estate in the UK. Built and designed by John Wood the Younger.

Circus was originally called King's Circus. It consisted of three curved townhouse segments forming a circle with three entrances. Designed by John Wood the Elder. Nicholas Cage purchased one of the townhouses and removed the number (7) so no one would know which was his. Pretty clever considering no one would know what house number was between 6 and 8.

What\where did we eat? We choose our restaurants based on AirBnB host recommendations, Google map ratings, cuisine offered, and some times Trip Advisor (very seldom).
The Real Italian Pizza Co -- this was pretty much one of the closest places after getting off the train and we were hangry.

Thai Basil -- this place was closest to our AirBnB and higher rated on Google than the Thai place recommended by our host. The food was very good and great service with reasonable prices.

Yak Yeti Yak (Napalese cuisine) -- if nothing else, a fun name. This was a host recommendation. The food and service was so good, we dined here twice.

We walked past Pintxo several times and their menu seemed interesting plus Terry, our tour guide, said he heard they were pretty good. Small place with an outside garden area and the service and food was very good.

Corkage was a recommendation by our host. A cute little tapas joint. The service started out great and the restaurant was empty when we arrived. The food was excellent! Each dish came out separately and in a timely manner.
By the time we were done, the place was packed and the people at the table next to us were basically in my lap.

Crescent Restaurant and Bar -- this was solely chosen based on their Google rating of 4.9 and they did not disappoint. Our server was from Poland. She was excellent and very curious about our travels 👌 and the food was delicious.
