Time with Family 🧑

After our whirlwind travels we arrived home to take care of many medical, dental, vision, and dermatoligist appointments. We also fit in a few of our favorites spots. All this and prepare for family to visit and move all our 'stuff' into a storage unit. What a relaxing three weeks before our travels started again!

Rob "helped" Zach launch his boat and bring it to the house. He also caught the sunset.

Our Guests (Florian, Brenda, Heather) have arrived, they even brought a furry friend (Yuki), who was very inquisitive.

Rob, Heather, & I went and got Pedicures.

We had an amazing spread

Our goal is to try at least one new restaurant each month, we read a lot of good reviews about Farm & Flame and it did not disappoint. The chef is a certified Thai chef! We love Thai food!!

Spicy Tuna Roll

Papaya Salad

Tom Kha Soup
Cedar Plank Salmon with Miso Glaze

We ordered from each menu, Cocktail, Land & Sea, Thai, & Sushi menus. The food was delicious and the service was great.  On the Salmon, I would have preferred less sauce or my sauce on the side. We will try again in the future.

We went to Green Marlin. It was Lobstah night. Only 1 out of 5 decided to get the lobster and it was hurry up and order because they run out quickly.

Lobster, coleslaw, 'corn on the cob'

Shrimp in the Weeds
served with mashed potatoes,
& garlic spinach

Another new to us place that we tried for drinks was Mangrove Sands. This is where the locals (and old people) hang out. We really enjoyed it!

Our next visit and I think some of us were over servered, lol.

We had to go to Riverside for their Tuna Nachos.

Of course, we went to our very favorite restaurant Scampi Grill.

We have been evicted yet again. I think we need new landlords πŸ˜πŸ€£πŸ˜‚.  Time to head to to the cold and get Heather back home.

I gave up the window seat
so Rob could have leg room

Christmas Eve
we met David, Heather & Chris for a late lunch early dinner at G & M Restaurant. When in Maryland you must get crab!

cole slaw

Before leaving MD we even picked up a bag of Fisher's Old Bay Poopcorn.

Off to see the Rents for Christmas Day and a night at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott.

Since we haven't had enough cold weather we headed for New York, to visit Nick & Shae, where it is even colder. πŸ₯Ά

WTF 13°

Yes that is snow

The first snowfall is very pretty

We had homemade pizza and for the Sunday games, Nick whipped up football food.

Nick prepping the wings

We had dinner at Chianti II Ristorante.

Nick, Shae, Sharon, Rob

Tomarelli Cacio e Pepe
House-made spaghetti, pecorino and
Grana Padano fondue, black pepper

Spaghetti Oro di Cabras
Artisanal spaghetti, sautΓ©ed scallops,
baby clams, white wine, garlic, oil,
touch of spice, and “bottarga” seasoning

We didn't do much because we do not have cold weather gear especially for snow.

I think Rob is using Goose to keep him
warm. Charlie is looking at me like I'm
going to make her move.

We don't want to go outside

We were really watching the weather, as our flight was scheduled for Mondy morning Albany to Philadelphia @ 8:00 am.

Guess what, our flight was delayed. Did I tell you I don't like snow/ice?  The delay would have caused us to miss our connecting flight. Rob was able to rescedule our flight, but now our flight was Tuesday morning @ 5:00 am to Charlotte! UUUGGGHHHH. I know so sad.

We were so excited to head to warmer weather. Our alarm went off @ 2:30 am with an Uber pickup @ 3:00 am. I can't believe Nick & Shae did not get up to see us off. lol

We had a terrific πŸ˜€ time visiting with all our family. Especially spending time with our kids. πŸ₯°πŸ˜❤️

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!
