Back Home in Vero

We arrived back in Vero Beach April 1st. Vero has really grown on us.

What have we done?

Island Beach on the Indian River.

Boating - Zachary, Brianna and family have taken us out on their boat several times. So nice being back on the water!

Downtown Vero - Last Friday of the month on Main Street featuring live music, food, and vendors. No tickets are needed and the event is FREE. The night we attended we saw some really cool classic cars 🚗.

See you DownTown!

Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy Event held at The Venue in Vero Beach.

The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy is a chilling cocktail experience that brings four of his stories off the page and onto the stage as told through the Poe Historians while pairing them with four classic cocktails.

Pale Blue Eye

Our first drink was a classic twist on a traditional Collins. The menu describes it as “citrus and blueberry infused vodka, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and simple syrup. Topped with a pale blueberry eye.

The Cat's Meow

Our second drink was a twisted version of Poe’s favorite brandy milk punch. The menu describes it as “Aged bourbon meets with fruity brandy, accompanied by vanilla cinnamon milk, sweet cream and maple syrup.

Nevermore

Our third drink Nevermore - Quoth the Raven, Drinksomemore! The menu describes it as "Fresh lime juice, peach and orange blossom infused vodka, simple syrup, and crushed charcoal. Topped with a dehydrated lime."

Cocktail of Red Death

Our fourth drink Cocktail of Red Death - Our Spirited Nightcap is to Die For. It is described as Fresh squeezed seasonal fruits, raspberry infused vodka, cranberry juice, 100 proof vodka and fresh lime juice.

We would not do again and don't really recommend.
